Sicily Bike Tourist Service offers… Catania Bike Adventure
Discovering in Bikes of Catanese historical center… of the Plain of Catania and the river Simeto.
Cycling tours on road and off road, along the roads and dirt roads that surround the city of Catania, for a cycling adventure that will lead us to the discovery of the Sicilian hinterland.
Itinerary
Starting by bike from our headquarters in Catania… we will cross the historical center of Catania, along the streets and squares typical of our city. The first extra-urban stretch will take us towards the Primo Sole bridge, the only part of the fast-flowing tour (which we will walk through in a composed and ordered way). The rest of the cycle tour will be characterized by continuous entrances and exits on dirt roads and secondary roads, surrounded by landscapes forgotten by time and rich in Sicilian colors, constantly watched by our beloved Etna.
For the return we will use part of the embankment of the Simeto river, where we will be able to admire the fauna and the vegetation that surrounds its waters.
Possibility to evaluate a small lunch bag (not provided) that you can easily consume near the oasis of the Simeto river, all before returning to our headquarters in Catania.
Type of bike route: Asphalted and gravel roads.
Path: Medium difficulty (it is not a Tour for newbies), 75% On Road.
KM and duration of the Tour: The tour is programmed to last about 4-5 hours, to cycling gait, including technical stops and photographs, but of course, the duration depends by subjective physical capacity of the client. In case of need (excessive tiredness, illness or overestimation of one’s own state) it will be possible shorten the tour cutting whit various alternatives.
Length: 70/80Km Approx.
Program changes: Option to extend or diversify the route with alternative or different solutions, to be agreed upon booking.
Prices:
* € 45.00 – 1 participant (exclusive reservation of the Tour).
* € 35.00 – each person, for a minimum of 2 participants for a maximum of 4 participants (exclusive reservation of the Tour).
For more than 4 participants, quote on request.
20% discount on the cost of the Tour, with a minimum of 2 participants, only applicable to online reservations (E-Mail or WhatsApp) at least 15 days before the date chosen for the tour.

IMPORTANT: The prices above are not inclusive of Pick-Up service (booked exclusively as extra), the departure for this tour is our Catania office.
