Alla scoperta in bici dell’incantevole ed incontaminato territorio della nostra Sicilia, dai paesaggi unici e scenari da cartolina, dei luoghi e strade ricche di storia e folclore, dei tesori culturali e dei prodotti enogastronomici tipici della nostra terra, ecco la nuova proposta di Sicily Bike Tourist Service; se desideri scoprire, attraverso la MTB, colori, odori, sapori ed emozioni che caratterizzano la nostra terra, ricca di meravigliosi scenari, questo è ciò che fa per te.
La Sicilia visitata in bici offre moltissimo, è un museo a cielo aperto, ovunque andrete troverete cultura, natura, storia, avventura, tradizione, sapori e paesaggi suggestivi.
Il nostro viaggio in bici all’insegna della scoperta della Sicilia orientale e precisamente del Monte Etna, della Valle del Simeto e del fiume Alcantara, vi regalerà il gusto di vivere la bellezza dei nostri luoghi, vi faremo assaporare i nostri piatti culinari tipici presso i ristoranti o trattorie del catanese.
Abbiamo pensato ad un tour della durata di 7 giorni (5 effettivi) per dare ai visitatori che lo desiderano l’opportunità di scoprire la nostra Sicilia.
1 giorno: Arrivo a Catania, sistemazione in B&B, pomeriggio libero*, ci incontreremo a cena per presentazione staff ed itinerario del tour.
2 giorno: Entreremo nel vivo con il primo tour in MTB …e cosa c’è di meglio che incominciare con l’ETNA? Patrimonio dell’Unesco di cui è un peccato non scoprirne le tipologie e le caratteristiche dei suoi sentieri, mai noiosi e mai monotoni, paesaggi dalla morfologia che vi lasceranno stupefatti, luoghi dalle memorie storiche ormai facente parte della natura stessa della montagna. Andremo alla scoperta dell’Altomontana, percorso mai banale con fondo caratterizzato da sabbia lavica e sciara lavica… Salite, discese, single track e sentieri immersi tra le vecchie colate … scenari lavici e paesaggi mozzafiato non vi lasceranno delusi. Giro ad anello, con partenza da Piano Vetore(1.750 mt circa) lungo una sterrata facile ci dirigeremo verso il Rifugio Palestra( 1.900 MT circa) dove effettueremo la prima vera sosta relax. Il ritorno sarà caratterizzato da un bellissimo single track….che ci porterà a scendere di quasi 500 MT lungo il lato sud dell’Etna, per poi continuare con dei continui sali e scendi… tra sabbia lavica e pietre laviche… fino alla risalita finale verso Piano Vetore. Pranzo in trattoria tipica siciliana**, pomeriggio libero*. La sera a cena tutti insieme, per assaporare i classici arancini Siciliani**.
3 giorno: Al mattino City Bike Tour, alla scoperta delle strade Catanesi e della costa Jonica limitrofe (Aci Castello ed Aci Trezza), pranzo con granita tipica Siciliana**. Pomeriggio libero*, a cena tutti nuovamente insieme in pizzeria**.
4 giorno: Tour MTB presso la Valle del fiume Simeto, fiume della Sicilia (113 km; bacino 4186 km2), il più importante per volume d’acqua e per superficie del bacino tra i fiumi Siciliani. Risaliremo in MTB l’argine del fiume Simeto, in una sterrata semplice e poco insidiosa…che ci porterà nella zona collinare fino ad intercettare il castello della baronessa Poira(ormai rudere), situato tra le colline di Poggio del Monaco e Pietra Lunga, dove faremo sosta per il pranzo( pranzo a sacco***),per poi ritornare giù….lungo delle classiche mulattiere tipiche della zona, caratterizzate da ciottoli e lastroni di pietra….che ci porteranno fino a reintercettare gli argini del fiume Simeto … concludendo cosi il giro nello stesso luogo di partenza.
Rientro in struttura, pomeriggio libero*, cena**.
5 giorno: Nicolosi Ruote di Carretto(Monte Etna)MTB, 2 ore di single track sulla montagna più bella e irrequieta di tutta la Sicilia, dal 2013 Patrimonio mondiale dell’Umanità. Nicolosi è tradizionalmente chiamata la “Porta dell’Etna” grazie alla sua posizione che la rende punto di ingresso privilegiato al vulcano. Percorso tipico Etneo immerso tra i boschetti limitrofi al paese Nicolosi…caratterizzato da velocissimi single track…tra sciara e sabbia lavica…2 ore di sali e scendi veramente divertenti…da noi considerato un vero parco giochi della MTB. Pranzo presso struttura con degustazione di prodotti tipici siciliani**. Pomeriggio libero* e cena**.
6 giorno: Tour MTB lungo le fredde rive del fiume Alcantara, un corso d’acqua con caratteristiche insolite. Nasce dal cono vulcanico dell’Etna, a quota 1250 MT, sui Monti Nebrodi, sebbene lungo appena 52 Km, conserva notevole importanza per i numerosi aspetti naturalistici, storici e culturali.
Forse la tipologia di percorso più vario che vi possa mai capitare di fare…sabbia, sabbia lavica, pietra lavica, ciottolato, argilla…salite impegnative e discese da brivido…. Andremo alla ricerca della Cuba Bizantina. Nei pressi di Castiglione di Sicilia si trova la Cuba di Santa Domenica, una cappella bizantina, forse la più importante presente in Sicilia, diventata monumento nazionale dal 1909. Prima del pranzo(a sacco***) ci sarà modo di fare un bel bagno nelle freddissime acque del fiume….un classico che non può mancare, dopo la pausa ed il pranzo ci dirigeremo verso l’ultima delle discese in zona Mottacamastra, caratterizzata da tornanti mozzafiato e dalla veloce percorribilità….un ultima chicca prima di concludere la giornata e i nostri giorni passati insieme.
Rientro in struttura e cena** con saluti finali.
7 giorno: Ultimo giorno, partenza.
*Durante la mezza giornata libera, potrete organizzarvi per andare a fare shopping o semplicemente per una passeggiata lungo le vie cittadine o se volete, come “extra” non incluso, potremmo organizzare noi qualsiasi cosa possa gratificare il vostro soggiorno, esempio: Mezza giornata al mare o una passeggiata nell’interland catanese alla scoperta dei paesini più caratteristici…etc…etc.
** Pranzi e cene prevedono portate prestabilite (acqua inclusa), con varianti vegetariane e/o vegane. Le bevande e gli alcolici sono da considerarsi extra.
***Il pranzo a sacco con varianti vegetariane e/o vegane comprende: Due tramezzini o panini morbidi imbottiti, uno snack salato(esempio crachers o pizza secca), uno snack dolce (esempio tortina o brioche confezionata), frutta, succo di frutta in brick, acqua.
Variante: Una giornata, solo su vostra richiesta, potrà essere variata, ad esempio… con una giornata al mare o con escursione a cavallo..etc…etc.
Possibilità di ridurre i giorni di tour da 7(di cui 5 effettivi) a 5 (di cui 3 effettivi), e opportunità di selezionare e scegliere i tour a voi graditi. In tal caso il prezzo si ritiene da concordare.
Possibilità di variare gli itinerari proposti nel pacchetto succitato, con altri nostri itinerari che vi proporremo.
Condizioni di fruizione: In caso di condizioni avverse metereologiche …Prima dell’inizio del tour stesso, quindi prima dell’ arrivo …si potrà rinviare il tour attraverso mail di preavviso, ad una data a voi più consona, da concordare con noi, nel caso di condizioni meteo avverse durante le giornate del Tour …si potrà optare di organizzare soluzioni alternative ad esempio: Cinema, musei, etc…etc….con eventuale rimborso parziale della giornata stessa.
Cosa Include: Il tour include: 6 pernotti in B&B(adiacenti al centro storico di Catania, si intende che nel caso di mancata disponibilità presso il B&B da noi scelto, ci occuperemo di trovare una soluzione a voi idonea, che vi chiederemo di confermare), 6 Prime colazioni, pranzi e cene(come da accordi nei vari giorni di tour)con portate prestabilite, con acqua inclusa, bevande ed alcolici esclusi, MTB su misura, casco su misura, giacca antivento su misura, zaino, pack energetico per ogni giorno di tour in bici (comprendente: Bibita isotonica, barretta energetica e acqua), copertura assicurativa, accompagnatore MTB, assistenza tecnico-logistica, kit di primo soccorso, Pick-Up (per le trasferte delle escursioni).
Cosa non include: Visite ai musei, monumenti e parchi, vitto, bevande e alloggi extra, e tutto ciò che non è menzionato alla voce include.

Si consiglia abbigliamento tecnico-sportivo idoneo all’uso ciclistico, oltre che indicato in base alle condizioni climatiche.
Minimo 2 partecipanti, in caso di un solo partecipante preventivo su richiesta.
Su numeri superiori alle 8 unità, si effettuerà un ulteriore sconto.
Prenotazione “minimo” 15 giorni prima del primo giorno utile del tour.
Possibilità di partecipare con le proprie MTB, in quel caso verranno detratti i costi della MTB, preventivo su richiesta.
- Per prenotare il tour è necessario versare una caparra tramite bonifico bancario a nostro favore pari al 20% dell’importo totale.
In caso di rinvio del tour da parte del committente ad una nuova data (per malattia, imprevisto lavorativo etc…etc…) la comunicazione dovrà pervenire entro e non oltre i 5 giorni antecedenti la prima data utile del tour, ciò per non perdere la caparra già versata, naturalmente sarà nostra cura fare in modo di trovare una nuova data adatta alle vostre esigenze.
In caso di disdetta del Tour da parte del committente è da intendersi che la caparra del 20% a nostro favore non verrà rimborsata.
- Un ulteriore caparra pari al 30% dell’intero importo del Tour, dovrà essere versata entro il primo giorno utile del tour stesso, infine la restante parte, pari al 50% dell’importo, dovrà essere corrisposta dal committente ad un nostro responsabile il sesto giorno del tour, prima o dopo la cena dei saluti finali.
Nel caso in cui la nostra struttura non possa adempiere, a causa di problematiche interne, allo svolgimento del tour prenotato dal committente, provvederemo nel più breve tempo possibile alla restituzione della caparra del 20% versato a nostro favore.

Sicily visited by bike has much to offer, is an open-air museum, everywhere you go you will find culture, nature, history, adventure, tradition, flavors and landscapes.
Our bike trip of discovery of eastern Sicily and precisely of Mount Etna, the valley of the river Simeto and Alcantara, will make you enjoy the beauty of our places, we will make taste our typical culinary dishes at restaurants or taverns of Catania.
We have devised an tour lasting 7 days (5 of which are the actual)) to give visitors who wish the opportunity to discover our Sicily.
The seven-day tour is so willing.
Day 1: Arrival in Catania, accommodation at B & B, free afternoon *, we will meet for dinner to present staff and tour itinerary.
Day 2: We will enter alive with the first tour in MTB …what is the better way to start than with a tour onMount Etna?
UNESCO heritage of which it is a shame not to discover the types and characteristics of its paths, never boring, never monotonic, landscapes by the morphology that will amaze, places from historical memories become part of nature itself of the mountain. We will discover the track Altomontana, never dull path characterized by lava sand and volcanic material. A round trip, departing from Piano Vetore (1,750 mt) along a dirt track easy, we drive to the Refuge Palestra (approximately 1,900 MT) where we will make the first stop relaxing. The return will be characterized by a beautiful single track ….that will lead to decrease by almost 500 MT along the south side of Etna, and then continue with the ups and downs … between lava sand and lava stones … until the final ascent towards Piano Vetore . Lunch in a typical Sicilian restaurant**, free afternoon *.
At dinner, all together, to enjoy the classic Sicilian arancini. **
Day 3: In the morning, City Bike Tour to discover the streets of Catania and the surrounding Ionian coast (Aci Castello and Aci Trezza), lunch with Sicilian granita **. Free afternoon*, at dinner all together again for a pizza .**
Day 4: Tour MTB at the Valley of the River Simeto, River of Sicily (113 km; basin 4186 km2)the most important for volume and area between the Sicilians rivers. We will going up in MTB along the bank of the river Simeto in a unpaved easy and little insidious … that will take us in the hills of the castle of Baroness Poira (now ruins), located in the hills of Poggio del Monaco and Pietra Lunga, where we will stop for lunch (packed lunch ***)…..then back down .. along the classic mule tracks typical of the area, characterized by pebbles and stone slabs … that will take us down to the banks of Simeto river. We will conclude the tour in the same place of departure.Return to the hotel, free afternoon *, dinner.**
Day 5: Nicolosi, Wheels of CarrettoMTB(Mount Etna), 2 hours of single track on the most beautiful mountain and restless in all of Sicily, from 2013 World Heritage Site. Nicolosi is traditionally called the “Gate of Etna”due to its location which makes it a privileged entry point to the volcano. Typical path Etneo nestled among groves adjacent the village Nicolosi … characterized by fast single track … between lava and lava sand … 2 hours up and down really funny … we consider a playground of the MTB. Lunch at the structure with tasting of typical Sicilian products **. Free afternoon*, dinner.**
Day 6: Tour MTB along the cool banks of the river Alcantara, a water course with unusual characteristics. Born from the volcanic cone of Etna, at an altitude of 1250 MT, on Nebrodi Mountains, although just 52 Km long, preserves considerable importance for its looks natural, historical and cultural. Possibly it’s the path again more diverse than you will make …sand, lava sand, lava stone, cobblestone, clay … challenging climbs and descents …. We will go in search of the Byzantine Cuba.
Near Castiglione of Sicilia is situated the Cuba of Santa Domenica, a Byzantine chapel, perhaps the most important in Sicily, has become a national monument since 1909. Before lunch
(lunch bag ***) we will swim in very cold waters of the river … a classic that can not miss, after the break we drive to the final descent in the Mottacamastra, it is characterized by breathtaking bends and fast practicability …. a last treat before concluding the day and our days spent together.
Return to the hotel and dinner, ** with final greetings.
Day 7: Last day, departure.
*During the half-day free, you go shopping or you can take a walk along the city streets or if you want, as “extra” not included, we could organize anything can gratify your stay, example: Half a day at the beach, a walk in the hinterland of Catania, to the discovery the characteristic villages.. etc
** Lunch and dinner are predetermined (including water), with variant vegetarian and / or vegan. Drinks and alcoholic beverages are considered extra..
*** The sack lunch with variant vegetarian and / or vegan includes: Two sandwiches or two sandwiches, a savory snack (for example pizza dry or crachers), a sweet snack (for example tartlet or brioche), fruit, fruit juice in brick, water.

Terms of use: In the event of adverse weather conditions … Before the start of the tour, then before the ‘arrival … you can postpone through email, at a date more suited to you, to be agreed with us, in the event of adverse weather conditions during the days of the tour … you can opt to arrange alternative solutions for example: movies, museums, monuments etc … etc …. with any partial refund.
What Includes: The tour includes: 6 nights in a B & B (adjacent to the historic center of Catania, in the case of non-availability at the B & B selected, we will find a solution suitable to you, that we will ask you to confirm), 6 Breakfasts, lunches and dinners (as agreed in the various days of the tour) are predetermined, with water included, and alcoholic beverages excluded, MTB (custom), helmet (custom), windproof jacket (custom), backpack, pack energy for daily bike tours (including: isotonic drink, energy bar and water), insurance coverage, MTB guide, technical and logistical assistance, first aid kit, Pick-Up (for travel during the excursions).
What not to include: visits to museums, monuments and parks, meals, drinks and extra accommodation, and everything that is not mentioned in the entry includes.
Clothing: Not provided.
We recommend technical-sports clothing suitable for use cycling, as well as indicated according to the weather conditions.
Minimum 2 participants, in case of only one participant preventive on request.
Numbers of more than 8 units, will make a further discount.
Reservation “minimum” 15 days before the first day of the tour.

-For your reservation the tour you need to pay a deposit by bank transfer in our favor equal to 20% of the total.

In the case of cancellation of the tour by the customer, the deposit of 20% already paid will not be refunded.
-An additional deposit of 30% of the total amount of the tour, must be paid by the first day of the tour,then the remainder, 50% of the amount, must be paid on the sixth day of the tour, before or after dinner the final greetings.
In the event that the structure can not play the tour booked by the customer, we will return the 20% deposit paid in our favor.
