L’Ilice Carrinu, è l’albero con i rami più lunghi del mondo. Struttura e portamento: questo magnifico leccio, dal fogliame di colore verde scuro, espande su un possente tronco un’imponente architettura di lunghi rami che a valle lambiscono il suolo mentre a monte si stagliano sulla diruta casetta in pietra lavica.
A circa 2,60 m di altezza il fusto porta quattro grosse branche che costituiscono una struttura complessa e armonica; tale struttura sorregge una grande chioma globosa che copre una superficie di circa 650 mq. L’ampia ceppaia evidenzia lunghe radici nodose che si addentrano saldissime nel suolo vulcanico.

The Ilice Carrinu, is the tree with branches longest in the world. Structure: this magnificent holm oak by the leaves dark green, expands on a massive trunk an impressive architecture of long branches that downstream lapping on the ground while upstream stand out on the ruined cottage in lava stone.
Approximately 2.60 m in height the trunk bears four large branches that form a complex and harmonic structure; this structure supports a large foliage that covers an area of about 650 square meters. The wide stump highlights long gnarled roots that penetrate into the volcanic soil.
